As we were lazy yesterday, we had to catch up with our schedule. That is why we drove all the way down Pambula Beach to the Ninety Mile Beach in Victoria

Roadtrip - How I am going to maintain the blog

3. December 2007 von Andreas

Hey people,

as we won’t have Internet all the time, I am going to blog as much as possible offline and then publish the articels as soon as we reached a wireless network. I am going to prepare the photos but considering the internet connections here in OZ I think I won’t be able to publish them or at least not all of them until I get back to Sydney sorry… but we will see.

Bye,

Andi

Roadtrip - Batemans Bay

2. December 2007 von Andreas

Today we stayed on our campsite in Batemans Bay. The weather was finally beautiful with no clouds in the sky!! So we had breakfast outside and went directly to the beach - as most of the campsites are directly on the beach and/or in National Parks, you can imaging how nice they all are! Todays beach was really nice too and we even had a swimm in the bloody cold Tasmanian Sea!! Then we had a walk to the other beaches, did nothing and had a nice lunch before heading further South to Pambula Beach where I am currently sitting in the campervan, hearing the sea in the background and typing this blog entry - very nice I telll you :)

Sorry for the short entries, but I can’t be bothered to write longer ones, especially because I don’t want to use the laptop or we just don’t have time for it - we had to do so much relaxing stuff that there is no time for such things as the Internet … finally!!

Read you soon,

Andi

Roadtrip - Canberra

1. December 2007 von Andreas

Hey guys,

today we went to Canberra! We got up at 6 o’clock and left immediately because we didn’t stay on a camping groun with a powered site but at a campsite with no real facilities at all…

As it was raining like hell this day it took us until 10 o’clock to get to Canberra but including a rather long breakfast break at a really nice bakery in Brainwood.

In Canberra we joined a tour through the Parlament which was absolutely fantastic and very interesting! Then we had a nĂce lunch in our little house, took a look trough the city (which mainly consists of streets) and finally arrived at the National Museum of Australia - which is a terrific museum, absolutely.

As we had a long way back we headed back to Batemans Bay and to our campsite for the night in South Durret (directly on the beach!) respectively…

All in all I think that Canberra is a city with no real “heart” BUT it is way underrated - there is much more to explore there and with hindsight I think Canberra as the capital of Australia deserves a little bit more attention than just one daytrip…

Our way was a little bit longer than necessary due to our little deroute as we lost an important shoe - but this is a long story :D

PS: An insider: Nobody didn’t got hurt real bad :D

PPS: Parents: Don’t panic, everything is alright :)

Roadtrip - Jarvis Bay

30. November 2007 von Andreas

Today we went to Jarvis Bay and had a look at this beautiful National Park. We checked out the most beautiful beach every (photos to come!) and had a nice lunch. Really, this beach had very fine white sand which was very shiny and the color of the sea was amazing - who needs the bahamas!?!?!?

Then we were kind of late for finding a campsite so were searched for a camping ground (as wild camping is not allowed in OZ). We found a tiny little place somewhere on the beach with a toilett.. undofrtunately there was a huge HUGE spider sitting in the toilet - it was at least 10cm or 15cm big and looked reaaaaallly posioness… but it didnt matter, we just went to bed to prepare for the next day ;)

Roadtrip - Royal National Park

29. November 2007 von Andreas

Today (the 29th of November) we went to Royal National Park. As I already have been in parts of the park we went to Garie Beach and some other lookouts which all were very nice. We had lunch (cooked in our kitchen!) at one of the nice lookouts, headed to a site were para gliders start and then via Karmia (Blowhole and a very nice city) to our next camping ground at Seven Miles Beach - it is fantastic! Altough it rained at night we had a little walk at the beach. We had dinner and watched a movie before going to bed.

Roadtrip - Blue Mountains

28. November 2007 von Andreas

Hello,

today we started our road trip with a nice trip to the Blue Mountains near Sydney! It was especially cool as Kat joined us - she is from the Mountains and showed us around - we went to Wentworth Falls, Echo Point, walked to the Three Sisters and another couple of lookouts and nice places. We watched the sunset at Echo Point (with a view to the Three Sisters) and went to the first campsite with out campervan. Unfortunately the first campsite was crap - concrete everywhere and it was expensive. But the good thing was, that things just can gotten better ;)

It took us about 1-2 hours to get all our clothes and stuff organized in the campervan, but now it is clean and really cool!

Fortunately we already collected all our food from Sydney and did some grocery shopping the day before so we didn’t have to worry about that anymore.

The next morning we had breakfast and started our way back to Royal National Park via Sydney.
